EL (Electro Luminescence) in SEIKO Precision

　We, SEIKO Precision have a long history in producing EL sheet since 1995 applying EL to LCD's backlight for timepiece products. The application was tremendous success and is still being accepted by many customers all over the world. Since then, we have been applying EL sheet to a variety of products such as Mobile phone, Audio players, PDA, Indoor/Outdoor sign, Meter for automobile and so on.
In 2002, we started a part of production process at Shenzhen in People's Republic of China in order to strengthen our price competitiveness and production flexibility.  

In 2004, the whole production process was transferred from Japan to China as well as a transfer of key members from Japan to Hong Kong and Shenzhen in PRC. The transfer enabled our company to cover the emerging global market including Chinese market by optimizing its geographical advantage. The production environment in our China facility is quite good and well controlled. All production processes (ink making, screen-printing, cutting with a mold and assembling) are done in a clean room. As we have R&D staffs and Technical designers in Hong Kong and Shenzhen Office, we can develop tailor-made EL and EL modules quickly and with competitive price. With the our business circumstances, we are planning further expansion of products such as Antenna for auto mobile/IC chip, Touch panel, Solar battery and various kind of film printing.

セイコープレシジョン製EL（エレクトロルミネッセンス）について

　弊社（セイコープレシジョン）は1995年以来ELの製造を長年手がけてまいりました。
最初の製品は時計用LCDのバックライトでした。この製品は爆発的なヒットとなり以来現在でも世界中の多くのお客様にご愛用頂いております。弊社はそれ以 降、時計以外の製品向けにも市場を拡大し多くの製品に弊社のELが使われるようになりました。例えば携帯電話、音響機器、ＰＤＡ、屋内外のサイン、車載用 メーター等々。。
2002年には価格競争力と製造の柔軟性を強化する目的で生産工程の一部を日本から中華人民共和国の深センに移しました。
2004年には更に残りの工程も移管し中国での一貫生産を行う体制を構築いたしました。同時に日本より営業・開発・設計・ＱＣのメンバーを香港および深センに移管いたしました。
この移管により中国を基盤とする優位性を生かし成長著しい中国市場含む世界市場に対応していくことができるようになりました。
弊社のEL製造環境は大変優れており良く管理されております。EL製造の全ての工程(インク製造、スクリーン印刷、金型での抜き加工、組み立て)はクリーンルーム内で行われております。
営業から開発・設計までを全て香港・中国で行える体制を築き、お客様デザインのELシート・ELモジュールを素早く低コストで開発することが可能です。
弊社はこれらの事業環境を使い、将来はアンテナ（車載用、ICチップ用）、タッチパネル、ソーラー電池、各種フィルムへの印刷といった分野への事業拡大をも計画しております。
